There is more to Photoshop than just working with photographs. You can create animations with pictures or with drawings (as in the example above). To create an animation, follow these simple steps:

1. Open up a picture or create a drawing (like the stick man)

2. Create a new layer and change something about the picture (do this many times until you have lots of layers)

3. From the "Window" drop-down menu select "Animation" and the Animation box will appear

4. On the right side of the Animation box there is a drop-down menu: select "Make Frames From Layers."

5. Set the length of time you would like each frame displayed (you can work either in "Timeline" mode or "Frame" mode in CS4)

6. Under the "File" menu, under "Export," click on "Render Video" to complete your animated video clip
